CSR Geotechnical is currently seeking highly motivated graduates for a junior  Geotechnical Engineering position. Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and contribute to geotechnical investigations and assessments under the supervision and eventually take on projects of your own
• Conduct construction review and monitoring of construction activities
• Preparation of preliminary and detailed design reviews, assist in technical analysis and preparation of technical memos
• Analyze and prepare geotechnical recommendations and reports for projects
• Conducting and reviewing slope stability and embankment assessments
• Completing and organizing materials testing, both field and laboratory testing to support geotechnical investigation and design recommendations
• Contribute to the development of project proposals/cost estimates
• Develop and manage strong relationships with new and existing clients, field personnel, and other consulting teams.
• Being a part of the team and communicating with clients and sub-consultants and internal environmental engineering team members to build a professional reputation and confidence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Geological, Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
• A demonstrated interest in geotechnical engineering via coursework or relevant work experience (Experience in consulting engineering would be ideal)
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with clients.
• Previous experience using AutoCAD, GeoStudio Products and MS Office is essential
• Proven organizational, team collaboration, proposal and technical writing skills, and excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Eligible for registration with EGBC as Engineer-in-Training or P.Eng designation.
• Must be able and willing to travel for project work away from the home office to undertake field assignments
• Must be physically capable of performing the manual field duties required
• Valid Canadian driver’s license with a clean driver abstract.
