CSR Geotechnical is currently seeking highly motivated graduates for a junior Geotechnical Engineering position. Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and contribute to geotechnical investigations and assessments under the supervision and eventually take on projects of your own
- Conduct construction review and monitoring of construction activities
- Preparation of preliminary and detailed design reviews, assist in technical analysis and preparation of technical memos
- Analyze and prepare geotechnical recommendations and reports for projects
- Conducting and reviewing slope stability and embankment assessments
- Completing and organizing materials testing, both field and laboratory testing to support geotechnical investigation and design recommendations
- Contribute to the development of project proposals/cost estimates
- Develop and manage strong relationships with new and existing clients, field personnel, and other consulting teams.
- Being a part of the team and communicating with clients and sub-consultants and internal environmental engineering team members to build a professional reputation and confidence
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Geological, Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
- A demonstrated interest in geotechnical engineering via coursework or relevant work experience (Experience in consulting engineering would be ideal)
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with clients.
- Previous experience using AutoCAD, GeoStudio Products and MS Office is essential
- Proven organizational, team collaboration, proposal and technical writing skills, and excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Eligible for registration with EGBC as Engineer-in-Training or P.Eng designation.
- Must be able and willing to travel for project work away from the home office to undertake field assignments
- Must be physically capable of performing the manual field duties required
- Valid Canadian driver’s license with a clean driver abstract.
